Give To Gain: Celebrating Women With The Economist

We had an inspiring and empowering afternoon at The Economist Group's London headquarters to commemorate International Women’s Day. We were honoured to be invited to discuss the mission of Refuge Network International (RNI).
At RNI, women are the heartbeat of our impact—they constitute about 70% of our entire volunteer team and represent the majority of the families and marginalised groups we serve.
Since 2023, we have been privileged to collaborate with teams from @theeconomist, many of whom are women dedicated to giving back and making a tangible difference in our communities. This year’s IWD was the perfect opportunity to celebrate this synergy.
A massive and heartfelt thank you to Michelle Wright, Chair of Women of TEG at The Economist Group, for this incredible opportunity and your gracious hospitality. The entire team made us feel so welcome, and it was a privilege to engage with such a passionate and forward-thinking audience.
It was great to meet with friends from @womens_aid and Ella's at the event. This year's theme of #GiveToGain truly came alive. When we invest in women—as volunteers, as partners, and as community pillars—we gain a stronger, more resilient society for everyone.
Thank you for championing these vital dialogues. We look forward to many more years of collaboration!
Together, we rise.❤️🔥
