Where are you from? A Hearty Chat Between Volunteers & An Elderly Homeless Man

A research by Crisis showed that 'homeless people experience some of the highest rates of loneliness and isolation amongst the UK population. They feel left out and lack the companionship that many of us take for granted, making it that much harder to escape homelessness and address any support needs.' At Refuge Network, we encourage volunteers to spend time interacting with homeless people during outreach. It is a deliberate strategy aimed at reducing some of the loneliness on the streets.


Last Saturday, a simple question from an elderly rough sleeper led to a hearty chat with three of our volunteers. See the video below.
