Our Leadership (Development) Programme

We recognise the vital role of human capacity development in the fight against poverty and inequality. Therefore, Refuge Network International will prioritise leadership development by equipping interested service users and volunteers (particularly women and youths) with the leadership exposure/training they need to drive change at the grassroots.

To achieve this objective, Refuge Network UK has evolved a dynamic leadership model. A limited number of our registered volunteers interested in developing their leadership potentials will be given opportunities to serve alongside our more experienced leaders so they can learn on the job, via a revolving short-term leadership development programme.

In Africa, through our No Poverty Campaign Foundation, next year, we will be launching the African Centre for Child Youth & Societal Transformation (ACCYST) to facilitate the training/empowerment of young people and women from poor disadvantaged backgrounds, and to support human capacity development in marginalised communities.
