A shocking secretly recorded video has emerged showing a care worker who was employed to care for the aged, punching an elderly woman in the face and kicking her in the stomach.
According to Mirror Online, the shocking video shows 84-year-old care home resident Hope Shepherd viciously attacked by a woman who was meant to be caring for her.
In the CCTV footage, Mrs Shepherd is also punched in the back as her head is forced down.
According to Herald Live, the abuse was discovered by Mrs Shepherd’s family after they became concerned about a number of bruises she was suffering while a resident of a care home in East London, South Africa.
Mrs Shepherd had also suffered a broken arm the year before, so her family set up a hidden camera to see if they could find out what was happening.
Bernice Robertson, Mrs Shepherd’s daughter, said: “There were not enough good reasons as to what happened to her from the staff, other than that she had fallen off the bed or bumped herself.
